Throwing a "Throw Bag"

• Always throw the Throw Bag over the front (bow) of your kayak and never off to either side. If you throw the bag off to the side you most likely will capsize, as there is no stability on the sides.
  
  
• Always throw the bag as far past the person being rescued as possible. If the bag is thrown too far it can be slowly pulled back to the person. If it is thrown too short, you will have to start again…. if there is the time.
  
  
• If there are currents, throw the bag up stream and let it float down to the person being rescued.
